    DESCRIPTION

Origin: Central & South America, Indonesia
Profile: Blood Orange & Choc Truffle
    Strength: 3/5
    Aroma: Floral
    Body: Crisp & Medium
    Finish: Soft & Bright

A bright and lively blend of Indonesian, Central & South American coffees. The cup profile has an intoxicating aroma, a well-rounded body, with notes of green apple, nectarine, and a chocolaty aftertaste. The body of the Indonesian coffee neutralizes the acidity creating a deliciously balanced blend.

The range was named for Lord St. George Gore, who visited the area in the 1850s. The range runs for approximately 60 miles long northwest-to-southeast. The locals attribute the amazing snowfall in the Vail Valley to the positioning of the Gore Range and how it slows down the winter storm blowing through the valley.

    BEST BREWED WITH

While our coffee is versatile and works beautifully across various brewing methods, we recommend Drip Brewer, Chemex or Pour Over for this number.

    HOW TO BREW

    For Drip Coffee

    1. Measure 50-55g (10 tbsp) of medium ground coffee (like sand).
    2. Add grounds to a filter in the chamber.
    3. Fill the reservoir with enough water.
    4. Fire up the machine, kick back and enjoy.

Use a different method? Check our brew guide.

    ROASTED AT ALTITUDE

All our beans are roasted on-site in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. At high altitude, the lower roasting temperatures allow the natural sugars in the coffee beans to caramelize slowly. This unique process creates deep, rich flavor profiles and smooth textures — without the bitterness.

    RESPONSIBLY SOURCED

At VMCT, we take pride in fostering direct relationships with growers to ensure that every coffee bean and tea leaf we source is responsibly cultivated. We’re committed to ethical, organic, and sustainable practices, understanding that certification standards can vary across the globe. That’s why we go the extra mile to research and verify that our producers meet rigorous organic and bio-dynamic farming standards. For us, it’s not just about great coffee and tea — it’s about honoring the land and the people who bring it to life.

    Behind the Beans

    BREWED AT HIGHer STANDARDS

Situated at 8,000 feet, Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea is one of the highest altitude coffee roasters of its size in the world. With the dry mountain air, we are able to minimize moisture absorption which, in turn, allows us to deliver a fresher, longer lasting coffee.
